Salary: £48-53k depending on experience

Job Description
Syntech Recruitment is partnered with a leading engineering organisation to find a Senior Applications Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for delivering innovative engineering solutions, working on challenging projects that make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design systems that meet client requirements, including relevant specifications and high standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers or lead mechanical design efforts to optimise projects.
- Negotiate with procurement and suppliers to secure competitive material costs.
- Utilise internal and external resources to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
- Communicate directly with clients and cross-functional teams when required.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers, helping to grow and develop the team.
- Assist other departments when necessary, contributing across various functions.
What We're Looking For:
- A technical degree as a minimum, ideally with Chartered status or currently working towards it.
- Demonstrable experience with commercial codes such as Aspen or HTRI.
- Proven track record in designing systems, including relevant technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME VIII and other pressure vessel codes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and leading teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
