Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer - £50k-£65k - Buckinghamshire - Electro-MechanicalPlatform Recruitment has partnered with a company specialising in the design, manufacture, and global distribution of electro-mechanical instruments. As part of their expansion plan, they’re seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience and interest in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, analysis, and manufacturing.

Main Duties:+ Produce conceptual designs + 3D CAD design+ Prototype assembly and testing+ Design validation+ Precision mechanism design+ Design from concept through to product launch+ Mentor junior engineers

Skills & Experience:+ Degree in Engineering+ Strong 3D CAD skills+ Creativity and blue sky thinking+ Experience in designing precision mechanisms+ Knowledge of different manufacturing processes - machining & injection moulding+ Understand manufacturing methodologies - lean & Kaizen & cell + Experience in electro-mechanical product development is advantageous
