Insparise is currently recruiting ITU Nurses to work on an ad hoc agency / locum basis.We provide a very high standard of staffing in various settings including private and NHS hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and document findings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for patients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration with a strong understanding of pharmacology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to empathise and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Solid knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to assess patient conditions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when required.
- Critical thinking skills to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
- Will have an up to date PIN number with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
