Team Manager - Warehouse / Fulfilment

Aylesbury

Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours - days-based

Up to £32,000 + benefits including access to CMI management qualifications

Are you ready to lead and inspire in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment? As a hands-on Team Manager with this award-winning, dynamic and fast-growing business, you’ll oversee daily operations within your area, managing a small team and driving positive change to deliver service excellence for all customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Optimise Operations: Using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) as a super user, ensure peak efficiency to deliver customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Lead the Team: Train, manage, and motivate your warehouse team to solve daily operational challenges while achieving both short- and long-term performance targets.
  • Operational Planning: Review and prepare workflows, staffing and space requirements, equipment layout to ensure productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
  • Oversee Daily Tasks: Supervise accurate order fulfilment and end-of-day reporting. Ensure consumables are restocked, housekeeping standards are upheld, and storage space is maximized.
  • Performance Management: Conduct reviews, manage attendance, and oversee staff development, investigations, and disciplinaries.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with other managers, the stock control team and account managers, to meet daily operational goals and swiftly resolve issues.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure the team operates in a safe and compliant environment by enforcing standards and completing daily MHE checks.
  • Innovate and Improve: Drive process improvements, train staff on new processes, and lead change initiatives to enhance efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven people management skills and abilities in a similar environment - you’ll enjoy managing, coaching and mentoring others to deliver excellence.
  • A natural leader with the ability to delegate to team members and deliver frequent direct feedback.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and legislation for warehouse operations.
  • Strong tech skills - ideally previous WMS experience at super user level.
  • Great problem-solving abilities and confidence in decision-making.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
