Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Aylesbury
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for an Production Supervisor to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Aylesbury.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Production Supervisor to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
You will be responsible for:
- Manage day-to-day production, ensure works orders are made available to the lines, and daily targets are achieved.
- Manage production resources, holiday planning, planned absence cover, training cover, etc.
- Recognise training and development needs.
- Maintain training records.
- Encourage and champion Continuous Improvement.
- Run daily production standup meetings and team briefings.
- Work cross functionally to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Ensure tools, work instructions and work environment are maintained to a 6S standard.
- Ensure all materials are available to support targets.
Previous Experience:
- Experience of managing teams and individuals within a production or manufacturing setting.
- Good understanding of stock control.
- Highly organised, able to co-ordinate and oversee completion of multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate with people at all levels.
- Able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines, managing different customer needs.
- Problem solver - Tackles problems proactively and comes up with ways to resolve or improve the situation.
- Able to plan, analyse and challenge the status quo.
