Role Overview The Electrical Quantity Surveyor will oversee the financial management of commercial CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects. This role involves ensuring project costs are controlled efficiently while delivering high-quality electrical systems in line with client expectations. The position requires expertise in cost estimation, contract negotiation, and project profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for electrical works specific to CAT A and CAT B office fit-outs.
  • Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of electrical installations as per project requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, variations, and pricing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage project cash flows, valuations, and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular reports on project performance, risks, and profitability.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards during project execution.
  • Assist in resolving disputes or contractual issues efficiently.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on electrical works for commercial office fit-outs.
  • Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT B specifications and requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of cost management and contract law principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as CostX, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
