We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manger to lead our team in the Manor Restaurant at Waddesdon Manor.This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining, a keen eye for detail and able to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What you will do:

As the Restaurant Manager you will ensure that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience. You will oversee the day-to-day restaurant operations, lead and inspire the team, and maintain the highest standard of service and hospitality. You will play a key role in creating a positive environment for both guests and staff, ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity.


Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the restaurant, including service, staffing, and operational efficiency
  • Uphold and exceed fine dining standards, delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Train, mentor and develop the team to ensure a cohesive and high-performing workforce
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a synchronized and efficient service flow
  • With the Head of F&B, monitor and control budgets, ensuring profitability without compromising quality
  • Handle guest feedback professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding practices, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests and team members
  • Assist the Head of F&B, Executive Chef, Food-To-Go Manager and Wine Ambassador to develop and execute a cyclical programme of events for Waddesdons catering outlets, in collaboration with the Events Team, Marketing and as appropriate
  • Compiling all paperwork and events sheets that are related to any private event on site
  • Assist in ensuring that all events across property are staffed, supplied, and run efficiently, as per estimates, costings and schedules.
  • Comply with financial procedures such as hours imputing, change requests and portion control.
  • Ensure takings and the reconciliation of tills with daily takings.

Hours:

42 hours per week (excluding breaks which are unpaid) in a Wednesday to Sunday rota, including Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas Day) and the occasional shift outside of the normal rota, as required by the business. No split shifts.
