About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Slough/Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture students across Key Stages 3 to 5, encouraging artistic expression and developing their skills in a supportive environment.
As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, fostering creativity, and helping students achieve their artistic potential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to create a stimulating learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, promoting creativity and self-expression.
- Develop engaging schemes of work and practical projects to inspire student interest.
- Provide constructive feedback, assess student progress, and support students in achieving their potential.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider arts curriculum and school exhibitions.
- Encourage students to participate in extracurricular art activities, such as clubs and competitions.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed during practical lessons.
Candidate Profile:We are looking for an Art Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Art across Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
- Demonstrates a passion for art and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Can create engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons.
- Is confident in using a range of art materials and techniques.
- Possesses excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and contributing to the school community.
