Supply Desk is looking for an experienced History Teacher to work 5 days a week in a school in Bierton (Buckinghamshire). The role will consist of being adaptable and confident teaching across all key stages in a secondary school.

We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Secondary History Teacher with a valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love for history, creating an inclusive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of the history department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive history lessons to secondary school students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports academic and personal development
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies, catering to diverse learning needs and styles
  • Incorporate innovative and technology-driven methods to enhance the learning experience
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and contribute to the history department's success
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to build a collaborative school community
  • Stay informed about educational developments and actively participate in professional development opportunities
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, discipline, and professionalism in line with school policies

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (Desired but not essential)
  • Specialisation in History or a related subject
  • Passion for History and continuous personal knowledge development
