The ideal candidate:

Plan and deliver an engaging maths curriculum aligned with educational standards.
Create lesson plans tailored to different learning styles and abilities.
Deliver effective and stimulating maths lessons to secondary students.
Use diverse teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance understanding and engagement.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment.
Regularly assess student progress using formative and summative methods.
Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of achievements.
Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs, including support or challenges as required.
Communicate with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
Participate in meetings to address performance and concerns.
Stay updated on best practices in maths education and participate in professional development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
Teaching certification or license in secondary education with a focus on maths
Proven experience teaching maths at the secondary school level
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
Enhanced DBS Certificate
