As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, your primary focus will be on providing personalised assistance to students facing behavioural challenges.
Your role entails close collaboration with classroom educators and other professionals to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational environment conducive to the student's growth.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience in handling students facing behavioural challenges, preferably within educational or special education settings
- Proficiency in behaviour management methodologies, positive reinforcement techniques, and de-escalation strategies
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, showcasing attributes of patience, empathy, and comprehension
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to facilitate seamless interaction with educators, parents, and fellow professionals
- Demonstrable problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain composed in demanding situations
- Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the evolving needs of students and the educational environment
- Dedication towards fostering inclusivity, embracing diversity, and cultivating a supportive learning environment for all students
