About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Health and Social Care Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Health and Social Care Scheme of Work, making necessary adjustments to meet the diverse needs of our learners. This role involves using a variety of teaching and learning strategies and resources, tailored to individual student needs, in line with the College’s teaching and learning policy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and adjust the Health and Social Care Scheme of Work as needed based on student needs
  • Employ a range of teaching and learning strategies and resources, adapted to individual needs, to ensure all students can achieve their potential
  • Create and develop learning resources and pathways that meet the requirements of learners
  • Implement and maintain systems for monitoring and evaluating learning activities to ensure they are effective and uphold best practices
  • Identify clear teaching objectives, learning outcomes, and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain good order and discipline among students, safeguard their wellbeing, and set high expectations for behaviour. Take responsibility for behaviour management within the classroom and assist in managing behaviour across the College

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (or currently working towards one)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to use and adapt a range of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, including how to personalise learning to help all learners achieve their potential
  • Experience working with young people, including those with complex behaviours and additional learning needs
  • A flexible, creative, and adaptable approach, with the ability to effectively use various teaching and organisational styles and resources, including ICT, to deliver outstanding teaching and learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver a holistic educational package
