Key Responsibilities:

  • Support nursery students with ASC in their day-to-day learning and development.
  • Implement and work with visual timetables, PECs (Picture Exchange Communication System), and sensory rooms to enhance students’ learning experiences.
  • Assist with personal care, ensuring the well-being and comfort of each child.
  • Work proactively to engage students, adapting to their individual needs and providing tailored support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, contributing to reports and development plans.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with nursery-aged children, particularly those with ASC.
  • Familiarity with visual timetables, PECs, and sensory rooms.
  • Comfortable providing personal care to young children.
  • A proactive, compassionate, and patient individual who is willing to go above and beyond to support students.
  • Preferred qualifications include Level 3 Teaching Assistant or EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) qualification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
