Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Contract: Full-time, temporary to permanent
Salary: £90 - £120 per day

A reputable primary school in Aylesbury is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role involves working with children who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You will provide crucial support to help them thrive both academically and socially, fostering independence and confidence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to SEN students across different year groups
- Assisting with the implementation of personalised education plans (IEPs)
- Supporting the teacher in managing behaviour and adapting learning activities
- Building positive relationships with students, promoting self-esteem and inclusion
- Assisting with classroom preparation, sensory activities, and tailored interventions
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress to SENCO and teachers
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN children in an educational setting (preferred)
- Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, or other special educational needs
- Excellent communication, patience, and empathy
- A flexible and proactive approach to support individual learning needs
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (desirable)
