GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a number of experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for our client schools in Aylesbury, to undertake placements from as soon as possible. We're searching for SEN Teaching Assistants who have worked with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs, or in care settings.

 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will possess the following:

  • At least one year of SEN support experience in a school, childcare or care setting;
  • Being a talented, dedicated and highly motivated educator;
  • Support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to enable them to effectively access the curriculum;
  • Demonstrate high levels of care, concern and ambition for our children;
  • Have relevant skills and experience to serve a diverse student community including learners with ASC and SEMH;
  • A positive team player with a good sense of humour;
  • Be committed to raising attainment and accelerating progress;
  • Support SEN students and delivering activities on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Experience in assessing, evaluating, and reporting on pupil progress

 

Applicants are required to have the following:

  • Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education
  • Be able to provide two professional school-based references
