Supply Desk is seeking to appoint a passionate and inspiring SEN teacher to work 5 days per week in an ambitious SEN school located in the Aylesbury area. The ideal teacher will be experienced and equipped with the necessary life skills and experiences as well as previous classroom success in supporting children with severe and complex learning difficulties.

The Role and the Ideal Candidate: 

  • As an SEN teacher, it is with the responsibility to deliver high-quality teaching and learning that helps to support and cater to the severe and complex needs of all pupils with different learning abilities and in alignment with each pupil’s education, health, and care plan.
  • The ideal candidate will encourage, motivate, and inspire all students from different backgrounds and learning abilities to recognize personal responsibilities for learning and growth to ensure achievement and success.
  • You must be able to closely monitor, assess and evaluate the necessary behaviour management and educational plans to bring out the best in all pupils.
  • Remaining calm under pressure is essential, the ideal candidate will be able to command control of the classroom and assert leadership in a time of challenging behaviour is present.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to foster a safe inclusive environment that actively promotes positive steps for the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental, and physical development of students from diverse religious, ethical, and learning backgrounds.

 

 Requirements for SEN Teacher:

  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent qualification and evidence of in-service training.
  • Working towards teaching standards and expectations
  • Knowledge and personal experience of working with SEN pupils is essential.
  • Positive team working, being able to work in collaboration and contribute significantly towards pupils’ progress and development.
  • Be committed to striving for the best outcome for the young pupils you work with every day.
  • Approachable and excellent in communication and interpersonal skills to engage students with a diverse range of learning from moderate to severe learning disabilities.
