Key Responsibilities for a Payroll Team Leader
- Oversee and assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Ensure payroll compliance with relevant tax laws, company policies, and employment legislation.
- Manage and support the payroll team, including training, development, and performance management.
- Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain accurate payroll reports and provide data as required.
- Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes and enhancing efficiency.
- Liaise with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure effective handling of payroll matters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including taxation, HMRC rules, and company law.
