Area to be covered: South East & LondonRemuneration: £50,000-£60,000 Basic + £70,000 OTE & Profit Share

Benefits: Electric Mustang Mach-E company car + full benefits packageThe role of the Business Development Manager - Smoke Control Dampers and Fire Dampers will involve:

  • Field sales role selling the design, manufacture and distribution of a large portfolio of fire and smoke control products
  • Three days a week on the road, two days in Kent office covering for the Commercial Director (responsible for bidding for projects, decisions on pricing etc. overseeing team of 10 staff)
  • 50% of your time winning projects and managing relationships with tier one main contractors (e.g. Mace Group, Willmott Dixon etc.)
  • 40% of your time winning specification with M&E consultants, typically presenting one CPD per week (virtually or face to face)
  • Remainder of time split evenly between M&E contractors and HVAC distributors
  • 70% new business development, 30% account management role
  • Following specifications through to order
  • Order values from £80,000-£300,000, with an average of circa £100,000
  • Typical projects with healthcare and commercial
  • Weekly virtual meeting with rest of field sales team

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Smoke Control Dampers and Fire Dampers with:

  • Proven track record or field sales with HVAC related products, ideally allied to ventilation
  • Must have sold into tier one main contractors or have HVAC specification field sales experience with M&E consultants
  • Experience of selling into M&E contractors and HVAC/ plumbing and heating merchants is not essential
  • Specific knowledge of smoke control dampers, fire dampers etc. is not required, as full product training will be provided
  • Capable of both generating new business and managing / expanding existing accounts
  • Ability to work on own initiative and works well with others
  • Self motivated, good communicator, IT literate and hungry
