I am working with a leading engineering company who are seeking a Business Development Manager with a flair for converting sales and a strong background in the technical or engineering sector.
This role involves a focus on commercial properties, where you will be instrumental in driving business growth and expanding our client base. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and be comfortable with client events and meetings across the South East. While industry-specific knowledge can be taught, some form of technical or engineering exposure is essential.
Day to Day of the Role of the business development manager:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Attend client events and meetings to promote the company’s services and solutions.
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand technical aspects of products and services.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets.
- Provide clients with proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the business development manager:
- Proven sales experience, ideally within the technical or engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of the commercial property market.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Some form of technical or engineering exposure is a must.
