Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels / Switchgear)£60,000 - £65,000 NEG + 25 Days Holiday + Healthcare Benefits + Training + Progression + Rapidly Growing Start UpAylesfordAre you an Electrical Design Engineer, seeking a senior role, for a high-growth SME which has doubled in size in the last 18 months, where you will play a crucial role in their ongoing success, working on a range of highly technical, cutting-edge projects for the design and manufacture of specialist power and monitoring systems with sophisticated controls?The company provide hybrid power and monitoring systems with sophisticated controls, which combine renewable energy sources with traditional power sources, enabling reduced emissions and improved energy efficiency. They develop cutting-edge technologies to provide the latest solutions for applications in marine, off grid and specialist vehicles, supplying to a diverse range of reputable clients.As an experienced electrical design engineer, you will have direct technical responsibility for our larger hybrid projects - both land and marine based systems, typically focussed around Danfoss drive technology.The role:

  • Create, improve and develop complex hybrid systems
  • Be project focussed, liaise with mechanical and control system engineers to deliver technically advanced solutions
  • Work with the rest of the engineering department to ensure companywide efficiencies through improvements in processes, material selection and technology
  • Working with battery systems, typically in the 300 - 700V range

The person:

  • A degree in electrical engineering and significant relatable experience
  • Display an extensive working knowledge of E-Plan (AutoCAD for legacy projects)
  • Evidence of designing electrical control panels and switchgear
