The Role:

As a Facade Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to architects and designers, ensuring the successful development of facades for both residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for structural and thermal analysis, technical drawings, and project documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive facade engineering design documents using engineering and design software.
  • Perform structural and thermal design calculations following industry codes and standards.
  • Provide expert input on facade engineering projects, ensuring innovative and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and Tier 1 contractors to support construction phases.
  • Conduct site and factory inspections, quality audits, and report preparation.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure integrated and cohesive project outcomes.
  • Manage projects efficiently, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Facade Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Membership with the Society of Facade Engineering (SFE).
  • Proven experience designing and developing facades for residential and commercial projects.
  • Expertise in rear-ventilated facades and knowledge of various facade materials (aluminium, stone, glazing, timber, composite, curtain walling).
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and thermal analysis tools like WUFI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with facade support systems and fastening solutions.
