The Role

As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business. Working across the Aylesford manufacturing site and one retail location in Dorking (monthly visits required), you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain health and safety policies in line with regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and manage subcontractor compliance.
  • Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Deliver training programs, including toolbox talks, to ensure staff are well-informed.
  • Manage emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
  • Oversee stock, supplier management, equipment servicing, and site maintenance.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager in food manufacturing or a similar environment.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); additional certifications (e.g., IOSH, DSEAR) are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Familiarity with auditing, reporting, and implementing safety improvements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in production environments and conducting facility-wide inspections, including climbing steps.
