The Role

As Quality Manager, you will lead a small, skilled team of quality engineers to ensure processes and procedures maintain exceptional product quality and conformance. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will hold full responsibility for the quality department’s day-to-day workload and contribute to the company’s long-term strategic development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external audits for AS9100, ISO14001, and AS9001, ensuring accreditations are upheld.
  • Address customer and supplier quality issues across the supply chain with effective communication and timely solutions.
  • Oversee nonconforming product control, deploying root-cause analysis and preventive measures while producing 8D reports.
  • Prepare and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 standards.
  • Drive process improvements, implement new quality methodologies, and support training initiatives.
  • Maintain the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment across the site.
  • Monitor and improve departmental KPIs to meet business objectives.
  • Actively participate in the Senior Leadership Team, contributing strategically, tactically, and operationally.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong GD&T and metrology skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a quality engineering role.
  • A proven leader with excellent organisational and motivational skills, able to work autonomously and with responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS/EN9100 and ISO14001 standards.
  • A "small business mindset" - flexibility, tenacity, and diligence are essential.
  • Exceptional timekeeping, attention to detail, and a professional demeanour.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with machined plastic and metal parts, compression, and transfer moulding.
  • High QA experience.
  • A degree in engineering or management disciplines.
