A small busy firm of Chartered Accountants is searching for an enthusiastic Sage Bookkeeper/Payroll person on a Full-Time basis to join their team based in their Aylesford office. You will be joining a very team focused environment and you will need to be organised and have a cheery disposition as client liaison is necessary.

The work involves looking after the accounts of more than one, and normally several, of the firm鈥檚 clients and the ability to work to deadlines and to communicate both internally and with clients is essential.

Description

Joining as a Bookkeeper/Payroll person in the firms Aylesford office, you will carve a key role in this successful firm.

The firm acts for varied clients, on largest turnovers and wide ranging smaller ltd companies, sole traders and partnerships, providing the spectrum of general, all round accountancy practice services to their client base.

Your duties will include Payroll, Bookkeeping, VAT returns, submitting company accounts preparing accounts and tax.

路 Maintenance of payroll records and inputting and processing payroll information to produce payslips and reports

路 Advising clients of net pay and amounts due to HMRC

路 Posting all sales and purchase invoices

路 Checking and reconciling supplier statements

路 Posting bank transactions, and preparing reconciliations, plus work in order to produce and reconcile VAT returns

路 Journals such as wages/payroll journals will need to be posted as will receipts and other non-ledger bank transactions plus entering financial data so as to enable production of routine management reports, accounts, etc.

It is likely to be necessary from time to time to work on clients not in your ordinary portfolio, and to support and guide less experienced team members.

Profile

You may be any of AAT qualified, studying AAT, studying ACCA, or looking to build further on your experience. Ideally, you will have a background in accountancy practice or with at least 2-3 years or more experience within the profession, as a Bookkeeper, with experience across any of preparing accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

Experience of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll are essential.
