Payroll Adviser

Join a payroll team as a Payroll Adviser, where you will assist in processing payrolls for clients, maintaining accurate employee records, and handling general office administration. You will support the Payroll Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the team and provide essential payroll advice and support to both existing and prospective clients.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage an allocated portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring the accurate and efficient execution of monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, and four-weekly pay runs.
  • Maintain accuracy and up-to-date information on an internal system and any other payroll systems used.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients on all payroll-related matters via telephone and email.
  • Stay updated with HMRC guidance and updates, and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients when necessary.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post related to payroll.
  • Manage the printing and scanning of documentation, including issuing payslips, P45s, and P60s.
  • Upload monthly pension contributions via online provider portals.
  • Participate in new business client meetings, either via telephone or face-to-face, working towards agreed annual targets.
