An industry leading manufacturer are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to work within their Supply Chain team at their site in Kent.


The focus of the position will be to manage a team of 15, ensuring the receiving and shipping of goods as well as stock rotation is managed accurately. The role is a days based position Monday to Friday (8.30am 4.30pm).


Key day to day tasks will include:

  • Responsible for the planning and assignment of daily tasks for Warehouse Operatives
  • Management of stock and inventories via SAP, maintaining usage data to support the Inventory Analyst
  • To attend and facilitate the running of daily Warehouse Gemba meetings and team leader meetings.
  • Support the Distribution & Logistics Manager when raising purchase requests, working to company budgets and restraints.
  • Working alongside other managers and departments to review daily workload and resource requirements
  • To ensure near misses are correctly recorded, learning from incidents and implementing preventative measures
  • People management responsibilities including recruitment, new staff inductions, absence and/or disciplinary meetings


To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have relevant people management experience within a warehouse environment. Good PC and systems experience (ie SAP or WMS) is also required as is a good understanding of Health and Safety. Candidates will need hold at least 5 GCSEs.
