Quality Team Leader

Location: Aylesford

Are you an experienced Quality professional with a passion for maintaining and improving standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Quality Team Leader to join our clients team in Aylesford, overseeing a small but dynamic team of quality engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quality Assurance department, ensuring compliance with EN9100 standards and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Manage nonconforming products, deploying timely corrective actions and root cause analysis.
  • Support process improvements, problem-solving, and training initiatives across value streams.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the setup of IMS sheets and FAIRs per customer requirements.
  • Oversee the calibration of measuring and test equipment, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
  • Conduct internal Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety audits to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform inspections using various measuring techniques, including CMM, verniers, and gauges.
  • Lead the deployment of High QA software and support the implementation of quality systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong GD&T and metrology skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of EN9100 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent time-keeping, work ethic, and enthusiasm.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with High QA software.
  • Understanding of machined plastic/metal parts, compression, and transfer moulding.
  • Degree in an engineering discipline.
