Day-to-day of the Sales Ledger Clerk Role:- Maintain up-to-date billing system and generate invoices.
- Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
- Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Generate age analysis and review AR aging to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally.
- Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
