Academics Rochester are working with 'Good' Ofsted rated Primary Schools, who are seeking a supportive and motivational HLTA to support SEN Teacher and work with children who require additionl support with daily activities and curriculum.

As a HLTA working with SEN children, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to primary-aged children with a range of special educational needs.

You will be working on a 1:1 basis or small groups of SEN children to support their education plans in an inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to teacher
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social emotional and academic development
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and participate in regular reviews and assessments
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Really good behaviour management skills
  • Proven experience in teaching children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload
