Outskirts of Maidstone own transport required

Rotating shift pattern 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm, with flexibility to cover the night shift (10pm 6am) when needed

40 hours per week Hourly £12.20 - £13.50 DOE + uplift for later shift + overtime

25 days holiday + BH

We are seeking a Stores Operative for our well established, but growing business based on the outskirts of Maidstone, with on-site parking. This role requires an experienced Stores / Warehousing professional with a Counterbalance licence please note I cannot consider candidates who do not have this licence already, with the certification.

Working collaboratively as part of a small team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in/out of the Warehouse, with all associated paperwork and accurate recording of information.

Duties include:

  • General warehouse duties including picking / packing ready for despatch
  • Managing goods in, including accurate recording of delivery notes
  • Using IT systems to print labels
  • Ensuring accuracy with all associated documentation, spotting anomalies where necessary
  • Working collaboratively, both within the Warehouse team but across the business
  • Acting as a brand ambassador to all stakeholders
  • Tracking purchase orders and working proactively and methodically to ensure a seamless flow of materials and goods in/out
  • Generating shipping documents and order pick lists
  • Stock management including annual stock checks and stock investigations
  • Ensuring a clean and tidy Warehouse and Yard
  • Safe and timely use of FLT
  • Organisation of waste collection
  • Any other duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

  • A valid Counterbalance licence, with experience in a workplace setting
  • A solid CV demonstrating loyalty and reliability
  • A flexible approach to work with a cheerful, positive attitude
  • Worked in a similar role successfully previously
  • Good communication and organisationskills with the confidence to use own initiative
  • A meticulous attention to detail
