The Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their busy night shift team. Reporting to the Night Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for picking stock, checking orders, and maintaining warehouse and stock control systems. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organised and efficient warehouse environment.
- Pick stock for production and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled in full, on time, and with accuracy.
- Check, pack, and dispatch orders neatly and correctly.
- Keep stock control systems updated and maintain accurate inventories.
- Promote and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation.
- Adhere to Quality Management System requirements.
- Actively seek and implement process improvements.
- Conduct regular maintenance on logistics equipment to optimise efficiency.
- Support and participate in project teams when required.
What we’re looking for
Desirable experience:
- Customer-focused background.
- Familiarity with CRM or WMS systems.
- Basic Health & Safety knowledge.
- Warehouse equipment and machinery usage.
- Understanding of 5S efficiency principles.
- Basic IT software proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable qualifications:
- Forklift, Order Picker, or Electric Pallet Truck licences.
- First Aid or Fire Warden certification.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
