Sonic Summary

Reed Engineering is seeking a CNC Machinist for a permanent position in the Prestwick area.
The role offers an hourly rate of up to £24 per hour, including a shift allowance, with overtime rates of 1.5x on weekdays and Saturdays, and 2x on Sundays.
Candidates must have time-served experience or a relevant engineering qualification, along with previous turning or milling experience in a machine shop.
The shift patterns include early and back shifts, with specific hours outlined for each.
A valid driving license is also required for this position.

Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a CNC Machinist to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Prestwick area.

Shift Pattern:

Early: Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm, Friday 6am 11am
Back: Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm, Friday 11am – 4pm

Hourly Rate: Up to £24p/hour (including shift allowance)

OT: Weekdays and Saturday 1.5x, Sunday 2x

Daily Duties –

Operate manual and CNC milling machines to the required standard adhering to engineering drawings and specifications
Use inspection equipment to ensure all sizes, tolerances, and surface finishes are accurate
Ensure processes are carried out in accordance with company procedures and correctly booking on/off jobs
Keep machine and work area clean and ensuring tools and equipment returned after use

Candidates Requirements –

Time-served or relevant engineering qualification
Previous turning or milling experience within a machine shop
Driving Licence
