Adecco are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join our client in South Ayrshire on a permanent basis. This is a day and back shift role working Monday - Friday.

You will take the lead in providing planned/preventative maintenance programmes and equipment breakdown schedules for a variety of plant and equipment within a manufacturing environment.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

路 Assist manufacturing/production team in achieving targets and optimising machine run times

路 Respond immediately to machine breakdowns and keep maintenance records

路 Prioritise maintenance requests and carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance effectively

路 Understand and support plant improvement projects

路 Identify and deploy other skills or trades required in order to ensure cost effective task completion

路 Liaise with contractors on site

路 Support and manage the training and development of apprentices

路 Monitor equipment/machinery performance using agreed KPI's and investigate opportunities for improvement

路 Practice all safety and compliance requirements and encourage others

To be considered we are looking for the following:

路 Minimum HNC engineering qualification is required or equivalent

路 PAT testing qualification would be ideal

路 Experienced maintenance engineer with excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge within a manufacturing/industrial environment

路 Knowledge of 415v electrical skills and ability to read schematic drawings

路 Mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

路 Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise

路 Adaptable and resilient in working under pressure and to tight deadlines

路 Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative

路 Leadership of small teams

路 Effective communication skills
