We have an exciting role just in today for a Production Manager to join our client in South Ayrshire, who are a global leader in there market who combine science and creativity?to develop some of the most groundbreaking products in there?industry.

The role is Monday - Friday working a day shift and offers an excellent benefit package and also a target bonus.

You would be responsible for safe and environmentally compliant manufacturing of all hydro colloid blends. The position is charged with positively motivating and influencing others in all aspects of the production process and related support activities.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

* Ensure that site safety is the top priority and subscribe to the principle that all incidents are preventable and worth preventing* Continuously improve production volumes, costs, and quality * Conform to all environmental permits and regulations* Manufacturing of all hydrocolloids blends while liaising with Quality to achieve a high success rate. * Coordinate with a variety of teams including procurement, logistics (with possible management responsibility), HR and financial resources to achieve excellence within the facility* Have the leadership and direction to develop and maintain an accident-free working environment in the manufacturing areas and site wide* Ensure that plant policies and procedures are communicated, applied consistently and that high work standards are maintained* Manage and measure the performance of direct reports in their knowledge, skill, and behaviour using the Performance Management Process, where applicable. * Establish budget standards and ensure effective control of costs including material deficiencies, rate efficiency, labour, and operating supplies and services* Monitor and report on inventory levels to maintain agreed levels. * Responsible for safe work activities and procedures that promote safety and prevent safety

Our client is looking for the following:

* Degree in Food processing, Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations Management* 5 - 10 years of relevant management and industry experience in a (Food) manufacturing environment * Strong SAP experience* Logistics experience - import, export, supply chain management* Hands on experience in delivering successful small and large scale projects* Customer (internal and external) service mentality* Strong communicator and vision orientated* Good financial understanding, strong with numbers* Comfortable with the concept of accountability* Excellent written and oral communications skills* Experience working in or with a multinational company* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Principals
