Candidates must be fully qualified fitters with relevant experience in a heavy mechanical facility and possess strong problem-solving skills. The position requires flexibility for a 25/5 and/or 24/7 shift pattern, and the successful candidate will work a 3 shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off. The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join our client in South Ayrshire on a permanent basis.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and will work closely with the existing maintenance team to maintain the plant, ensure plant downtime is minimised and plant throughput maximised.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

路Respond to plant downtime to ensure that the plant can maximise throughput

路Responsible for repairing and replacing damaged equipment

路Utilize IT systems to record work completed

路Interrogate, fault find and resolve any problems that are shown on the company's equipment

路Active participation in and close out of assigned tasks associated with summer & winter overhauls to ensure all plant equipment is maintained and repaired as required

路Active participation and meaningful engagement in continuous improvement activities and meetings

路Repair and overhaul of all plant & equipment as required

路Completion of work permits as required and adherence to health and safety standards

路Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives

路Participation in special projects as required

Our client is looking for you to have the following:

路Fully Qualified Fitter to work in factory

路Relevant experience in a heavy mechanical facility is essential

路Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to prioritise key tasks and meet challenging deadlines

路Strong attention to detail and concern for standards with a keen results orientation

路Flexible and willingness to cover a 25/5 and/or 24/7 shift pattern

路Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, to interact with production/maintenance colleagues and managers alike

路Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to take and respond to direction as required

路Self-motivated individual who has strong customer focus and can work on one's own initiative

路Proven track record of working with the systems as outlined

This role is working a 3 shift pattern and working 4 on and 4 off.
