The role will be office based 5 days per week and will report into the head of finance forming an efficient finance team.

The vacancy has arisen as a result of an employee taking a new career path outside of mainstream accounts.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The Finance Assistant will contribute to day-to-day accounting functions, assist in the preparation of financial reports, and provide administrative support to the finance department.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Responsibility for the maintenance of the purchase ledger ensuring that supplier invoices are processed within agreed timescales.Preparing invoices for payment runs and assurance that appropriate financial controls are maintained and payment runs are signed off by the relevant stakeholders.Work closely with customers in resolving queries and advising them on status of their invoice/payment date.Production and distribution of remittance advice to suppliers.Reconciliation of purchase ledger/bank accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved.Assist the team in the prompt and accurate preparation of payroll (monthly)Assist the finance team in the continuous improvement of financial controls.

The RequirementsOur client is looking for an experienced finance assistant who has worked within a similar role.
