Location: We currently have vacancies based at both our Sightill (EH11 4EP) and Loanhead (EH20 9LZ) branches.
Salary: £24,180 per annum.
Contract: Full time, permanent. Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.

Warehouse Assistant – About the role;

Pentland Component Parts Ltd is a specialist in vehicle parts distribution and has a vacancy and career opportunity in the position of Warehouse Assistant. The company is looking for a friendly and outgoing individual, ideally with previous warehousing experience, to join our team.

As a Warehouse Assistant, your duties will include all aspects of stocking and maintaining our warehouse, along with associated tasks.

Warehouse Assistant – Responsibilities:

Your main branch will be one of the two listed above, but you will be required to fill in at other branches occasionally to cover holidays etc. Reporting to your Line Manager at the branch you are based, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•  Assisting couriers to bring in parcels from their delivery vehicles.
•  Signing for goods received.
•  Checking off stock and putting it away neatly on shelves.
•  Picking customer orders.
•  Maintaining shop display.
•  Facing up shelves and moving stock when necessary.
•  Periodic stock checking.
•  Providing any other assistance needed to ensure the smooth running of the branch.

What we need from you:

The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and will:

•  Be a team player with the ability also to work independently.
•  Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
•  Be able to lift heavy items without frequent assistance.
•  Be dynamic, outgoing and energetic.
•  Be organised with great attention to detail.
•  Be willing to learn and develop.
