You will work closely with the Director of Learning to deliver high-quality teaching and learning and lead curriculum development. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Learning in leading the Maths Department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and innovation to meet the needs of all learners.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire members of the Maths team to develop their skills and improve student outcomes.
- Analyse performance data to inform strategic planning and interventions.
- Teach mathematics to students across a range of abilities, modeling outstanding teaching practice.
- Deputise for the Director of Learning as needed.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- A proven track record of successful teaching across a range of abilities and age groups.
- Leadership experience, either as a Head of Department, Second in Department, or equivalent role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and students alike.
- A commitment to promoting high expectations and fostering a positive learning culture.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in curriculum development and planning.
- A willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
