About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspire students to explore and appreciate music, and support their creative development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting musical skills and fostering a love for music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student creativity and performance.
  • Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams and music assessments.
  • Organize and lead extra-curricular music activities such as choirs, bands, or concerts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Music curriculum.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Music or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to student success.
