Vision For Education are working in partnership with a Priamry School based in Sevenoaks for an SEN Teacher. This school is a leading institution dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Their mission is to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

They are about to open a bracnd new SRP to support children with ASD.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join this vibrant, diverse supportive team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of the pupils, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to the varying abilities and needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff members and external specialists.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each child.
  • Engage with parents and carers to maintain open and effective communication regarding their child's progress and needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and current educational frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
