This role involves supporting students who face challenges with behavior, helping them to develop positive strategies, and promoting a constructive learning environment.

Education & Training - Bagshot - Aspiring Criminal justice practitioner

Responsibilities:

An LSA in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) supports students who face behavioral or emotional challenges. They help with learning, manage behavior, and provide emotional support. LSAs assist with personalized education plans, foster a safe environment, and guide students in developing life skills and coping strategies.

  • Support and implement behaviour plans.
  • Monitor, record, and report on behaviours.
  • Assist in de-escalating crises and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Collaborate with staff on behaviour strategies.
  • Encourage positive social skills and behaviours.
  • Maintain confidentiality and participate in training.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students
