Aspiring Prison Officer- Bagshot -Education and training

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Aspiring Prison Officer to join our team in Bagshot . This unique role involves supporting secondary and primary age students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as complex learning difficulties, physical needs, and challenging behaviour. You will help students to overcome barriers to their success by using restorative and rehabilitative approaches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with SEN and be eager to develop their career in a probationary or educational support role.

Key Responsibilities of an Aspiring Prison Officer- Bagshot:

  • Support students with challenging behaviours and complex learning needs, promoting positive behaviour management.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualised behaviour plans and interventions.
  • Promote restorative justice and help students reflect on their actions and take responsibility for their behaviour.
  • Engage with students through mentoring, support groups, and one-to-one sessions to build trust and emotional resilience.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents, ensuring compliance with school policies.

Requirements of an Aspiring Prison Officer- Bagshot :

  • A keen interest in working with children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging behaviours with a positive, calm approach.

  • Experience in a school setting, social care, or probation is desirable but not essential.
