A leading Tier 1 contractor based in North Wales is seeking an experienced Trainee Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. The Trainee Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part in the development and future of the business.

About the role of Trainee Health & Safety Advisor

This Tier 1 contractor traditionally specialises in heavy civil projects. Traditionally valuing up to 700M across Wales and the South West for private and public framework clients. The role of Trainee Health & Safety Advisor will report directly to the Health & Safety Manager, with a clear progression plan and development strategy in place.

Responsibilities for Trainee Health & Safety Advisor

  • Regular client liaison
  • Conducting on site audits and Inspections
  • Preparation of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate for the project teams
  • Keeping up to date with the latest HSQE requirements including legislation and best practice.

Requirements for Trainee Health & Safety Advisor

  • Previous experience within the construction industry is desired but not essential
  • Relevant qualification including either NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Drive and determination for progression and learning
