We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior National Account Manager with extensive of experience in the foodservice channel and food manufacturing industries, preferably within the bakery sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key national accounts, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives and maximize revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Manage and grow key national accounts within the food service and manufacturing industry, focusing on bakery products and services. Develop strong relationships with clients and act as their primary point of contact.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, increase market share, and expand business opportunities within the national account portfolio.
  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food service and manufacturing sectors, particularly targeting bakery clients. Work to expand our client base and build long-term partnerships.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, identify opportunities for growth, and develop action plans to address market needs.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Collaborate with the product development team to customise bakery solutions based on client needs and feedback, ensuring that products meet customer expectations and align with market demand.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives and maximise profitability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor account performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on account activity, sales achievements, and market feedback to senior management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, technical, operations, and supply chain to ensure that client expectations are met and that products are delivered on time and within specification.
  • Customer Retention: Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer retention, build loyalty, and drive repeat business through exceptional service and relationship management.
Key Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in account management within the food service and food manufacturing industry, with a strong preference for candidates with bakery industry experience.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing national accounts, achieving sales targets, and developing strategic client relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of the food service and bakery manufacturing sectors, including market dynamics, key players, and industry trends.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in securing and managing long-term contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at a senior level.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales management tools to track and manage account activities.
