Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance team to ensure the smooth running of the company’s financial operations. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Conducting variance analysis and supporting budget monitoring.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Assisting in the production of financial reports for senior management.
  • Helping with cost analysis and control initiatives.
  • Providing support during audits and liaising with auditors as required.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial data reporting.
  • Ad hoc financial projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Part-qualified in AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (or studying towards qualification).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
