My client is one of the UK's leading 'one stop shop' specialists in the design and manufacture of retail fixtures, retail displays, display units and POP displays all within an 80,000 square feet state of the art factory.
Working with major high street retailers this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy design team in an expanding POS/retail design and manufacturing company based in Letchworth Garden City, Herts.
We have a comprehensive range of in-house facilities including injection moulding, vacuum forming, sheet metal, woodwork and plastic fabrication.
Due to increased workload we are looking to employ a Technical Designer.
Candidates should ideally have strong design and presentation skills, be proficient in Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks.
Key duties of the role are:
- To design and develop cost effective solutions for manufacture.
- To create workable designs for manufacture whilst maintaining the original design intent.
- To produce drawings from quotation sketches, through to full production drawings.
- To produce fully specified manufacturing drawings using a 3d drawing package.
- Assist in managing projects throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- To attend meetings both on site, or at clients/suppliers premises as required.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage own projects to tight deadlines is essential.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.30
