Position Overview:

We are looking forNight Shift Residential Childcareto join the organisations pool of bank staff to join the team on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and young people, ensuring their well-being and safety during night hours. You will provide essential overnight support and be a calm, reassuring presence for the young residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Night Supervision:Monitor the children during the night, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Emotional Support:Provide a listening ear to young people when needed, offering emotional reassurance and care.
  • Safety Checks:Conduct regular checks throughout the night to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
  • Routine Management:Support any bedtime routines and respond appropriately to any disturbances or emergencies during the night.

Requirements:

  • Experience:Previous experience in residential childcare, social care, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Compassionate Nature:A nurturing, empathetic, and patient attitude towards young people, understanding the importance of creating a safe environment.
  • Qualifications:SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People and/or HNC in Social Services or equivalent is desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided.
