IT Project Manager – Co. Antrim – Permanent - £Negotiable

REED Technology are delighted to partner with an excellent organisation who are seeking an IT Project Manager to join their team

The role of the IT Project Manager will involve overseeing the successful implementation and deployment of a wide number of IT Projects, split across several areas of the business where needed. These include IT specific technical projects, Operational technology projects laid by the IT department and IT driven task management on projects delivered by other departments.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource

• Conduct project meetings and ensure team understanding of project goals. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements.

• Analyse and prioritise requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Work closely with technical leads to translate requirements into actionable tasks.

Team Coordination

• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.

• Manage project resources and distribute tasks effectively. Stakeholder Interaction

• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.

• Provide regular project updates and address client concerns.

• Ensure client satisfaction and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

3rd Party Vendor Management

• Identify and engage with third-party vendors as needed.

• Assist Information Technology manager in contract negotiations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure deliverables align with project goals.

• Collaborate with procurement to ensure prompt acquisition of necessary resources. Risk Management

• Identify and assess project risks.

• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

• Proactively address and resolve issues that may affect project timelines or objectives. Quality Assurance

• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes.

• Conduct regular project reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting and Documentation

• Generate and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.

• Preparation of planning documents for developers based on internal fact finding

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in relevant discipline
  • Project management certification
  • At least 5 years’ experience of working within an IT environment in a similar role
  • 3+ years’ experience managing projects within an IT environment
  • Building internal and external relationships which deliver improvements and efficiencies and work across organisational boundaries
  • Evidence of successfully managing change and continuous improvement within a fast paced environment
  • Evidence of successful delivery of projects including supporting the implementation of strong governance, protocols, and project controls
