Payroll Officer - Antrim Area

Salary: £negotiable and dependent on experience

Employment: 9-month FTC, full-time, office-based opportunity

Reed Accountancy is delighted with an established and reputable manufacturing client in the Antrim area in the recruitment of a Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic team. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract opportunity and perfect for those with at least 2 years end-to-end payroll experience! 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and promptly handle various payrolls, adhering to internal policies, legal requirements, best practices, and both national and local employment terms.
  • Manage both weekly and monthly payrolls for ROI and NI.
  • Verify and enter data to ensure precise payroll payments.
  • Stay updated on HMRC, PAYE, and payroll process guidelines and regulations.
  • Address queries via email, phone, and in person.
  • Provide payroll data to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with filing, retention, and disposal procedures.
  • Coordinate with third parties, including HMRC.
  • Handle purchase ledger tasks.
  • Process New Starters and Leavers

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing.
  • Qualifications: Possess 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office to include Excel, Accounting Software such as Sage, and processing remuneration payments.
