The Opportunity:Bamburgh Castle has stood guard above the spectacular Northumberland coastline for over 1,400 years and is one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. Visionary inventor, industrialist and philanthropist William George Armstrong bought Bamburgh Castle in 1894. He set about transforming it into his vision of the archetypal castle and today it houses his unique collection of artwork, ceramics and objets d’art that Armstrong loved. From intimate micro ceremonies, to large scale celebrations, Bamburgh Castle is an extraordinary and unique wedding venue that combines a fairytale castle, sweeping sea views and the magnificent grandeur of a beautiful stately home. From its earliest beginnings, the castle’s breathtaking location overlooking the Northumberland coast has captured hearts and given couples the chance to turn their dreams into reality. Nigel Wright Group are proud to be exclusively retained to support Bamburgh Castle in their search for a Wedding Manager who will be responsible for delivering commercial results whilst maintaining the integrity of the brand. The Wedding Manager will manage the wedding journey from initial enquiry through to delivery, providing an attentive and bespoke service to the wedding party. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to prosper in driving the growth of the wedding business.Role Profile:•    Manage and deliver a profitable wedding business whilst maintaining the requirements of the day visitor attraction•    Manage the process from initial enquiry through to delivery being the main point of contact for customers•    Coordinate all suppliers before, during and after the wedding and ensure that it runs smoothly and to time.•    Collaborate with the Marketing Team to generate enquiries through a multi-channel approach •    Ensure digital and traditional collateral is up to date, reflecting accurate pricing and supporting information •    Coordinate all promotional print production, including design and print of high-quality leaflets, flyers, and brochures•    Identify and attend relevant tradeshows to promote the business and generate leadsPerson Specification:•    A polished and articulate individual with solid experience in wedding sales/management •    An understanding of a challenging wedding location would be advantageous •    Strong planning, management and relationship building skills essential •    Commercially minded with an understanding of pricing and budgets•    Experience in attending wedding fairs and generating leads•    Skilled at pitching the wedding venue to potential customers and closing salesOther information:Hybrid working available as flexibility is key to successNigel Wright Group is retained on this search and as such, any direct third party supplied or referred applicants/CVs will be forwarded to Nigel Wright for consideration as part of our process.
